The leader of Hezbollah, Na'im Qasim, publicly responded for the first time to the fall of the former Syrian regime on December 14. Qasim admitted that Hezbollah had lost its supply route for military equipment in Syria and called on the new Syrian leadership not to recognize or establish diplomatic relations with Israel. In his speech on the 14th, Qasim admitted, 'Yes, Hezbollah has currently lost this military equipment supply channel in Syria, but this loss is just a small matter in our resistance organization's work. Syria will have a new regime, and this channel may be restored to normal, and we may also seek other ways to obtain weapons.'
