Panduo: Plans to launch a Spot Ethereum ETF with staking mechanisms in Hong Kong in the second half of the year.
On July 19, according to the Hong Kong Wen Wei Po, the "Panduh Bitcoin ETF" (2818) issued by the licensed virtual asset management company Panduh was listed in Hong Kong yesterday, soaring over 13% at one point during the trading session, closing at 7.98 HKD, with a daily rise of 0.129 HKD, an increase of 1.64%. Ren Junfei, the founder and CEO of Panduh, revealed plans to "take another step" by launching a spot Ethereum ETF product with a staking mechanism in Hong Kong in the second half of this year. When asked why the spot Ethereum ETF was not launched simultaneously like other issuers, Ren Junfei disclosed plans to introduce an Ethereum ETF with a staking component within this year, which would not only be a purely spot holding product but would also incorporate an additional yield mechanism. Currently, discussions are ongoing with regulatory authorities, including how to protect investor rights and specific operational directions for subscriptions and redemptions. The Panduh Bitcoin ETF is a passive ETF that directly holds Bitcoin, listed at approximately 7.8512 HKD per unit, with a minimum investment of 100 shares, requiring an entry fee of about 786 HKD and a management fee of 1%. Bank of China International UK Trust is the custodian and administrative manager, while OSL Digital Securities Limited acts as the sub-custodian for Bitcoin holdings.
