The first Sui Global Hackathon has successfully concluded, with 32 outstanding projects emerging.

In the eight-week Sui Overflow Hackerthon, 32 winners were selected from 352 project submissions. These winners received first, second, and third prizes in eight different tracks, with two third-place winners in each track.

As the first global hackathon for Sui, Sui Overflow provides a platform for developers to showcase innovative ideas and Move programming skills, with project types covering multiple fields from developer tools to games. The competition is divided into two main categories: technology and product, with a total of eight specific tracks. The event runs from April 21 to June 21, with participants presenting their project results to 47 judges on Demo Day, June 15. The judging panel consists of industry experts, investors, and well-known developers.

In addition, the Sui community selected the 10 most popular projects through online voting. The competition also paid special attention to student developers, awarding 10 student team awards.

The participating projects come from 79 countries, with the highest participation from India, China, Nigeria, Vietnam, and the United States. The backgrounds of the team members are diverse, ranging from students to experienced blockchain developers, many of whom have development experience with Solana, Polygon, and EVM-based chains. After multiple rounds of selection, 65 projects made it to the finals, ultimately producing the winners in each track.
