CleanSpark is accused by U.S. Customs of importing Chinese Mining Rigs and may face a $185 million tariff.

[Bitcoin] mining company CleanSpark in the United States disclosed that some of its [Bitcoin] Mining Rigs imported from April to June 2024 were identified by U.S. Customs as being of Chinese origin, potentially facing punitive duties of up to $185 million. CleanSpark denied the allegations, stating that its procurement contracts and supplier documents indicate that the Mining Rigs are not made in China and will firmly respond to the accusations.

According to reports, the mining company IREN previously faced similar controversies, with the amount involved reaching 100 million dollars.
