BREAKING: US President Donald Trump announced that a trade agreement has been signed with China!
US President Donald Trump announced today that a trade agreement with China was signed yesterday. However, Trump did not provide any details regarding the content of the agreement.
President Trump made this statement at the White House during an event to promote a government spending bill that Congress wants approved by July 4.
Trump stated that a trade agreement with India is on the way following the agreement made with China, saying, "An agreement with India may come soon." Expressing that China has "started to open up" economically, Trump did not share further details.
On the other hand, President Trump also criticized the Fed in his assessments regarding the economy. Referring to Fed Chairman Jerome Powell, Trump stated, "We have to fight this man," arguing that lowering interest rates would be economically beneficial. He also mentioned that short-term debts are likely to be extended.
