Nick Tomaino, founder of 1confirmation and one of the leading figures in the crypto world, stated in a post on the social media platform X that he believes Ethereum’s (ETH) will one day surpass Bitcoin (BTC).

Tomaino began his post with the statement, "ETH will surpass BTC," comparing Bitcoin's current position and Ethereum's potential.

Tomaino pointed out that Bitcoin was a cryptocurrency created by and for the people, stating that this feature has led it to reach a value of 2 trillion dollars. Tomaino mentioned that the "store of value" feature, built on trust in mathematics, is revolutionary, and conveyed that today Bitcoin has become an institutional asset preferred by large companies and governments.

Tomaino criticized the lack of useful applications that attract new users to the network, pointing out that a single company holds more than 2.5% of the Bitcoin supply.

Tomaino stated that Ethereum hosts innovative use cases such as decentralized finance (DeFi), stablecoins, NFTs, prediction markets, decentralized social networks, and identity systems, and expressed that these applications not only bring new users into the sector but also increase the value of ETH by making it scarcer.

Tomaino, stating that Ethereum stands out as a local and neutral value storage tool of the internet, said, "Maximalists claim there will be only one neutral, internet-origin value storage tool. They are completely wrong. There will be many options, but today there are only two valid options: BTC and ETH."
