Web3 Foundation Announces the List of the 16th Batch of Grant Projects
Recently, the Web3 Foundation announced the exciting news of the fourth anniversary of its grant program. The foundation funded 150 projects in 2022, setting a historical record. Since the launch of the program, it has received over 1,000 applications and supported more than 400 projects.
The Polkadot ecosystem also showed a booming development trend in 2022, with the number of monthly active developers approaching 2,500 at one point, making it one of the most active developer communities, second only to Ethereum. To further support the growing developer community, the Web3 Foundation launched a web-based user interface to help readers understand the funding program and browse information on contracted projects, completed batches, and more.
In the latest 16th round of funding list, a total of 39 projects were selected, covering various fields such as user interfaces, signatures, chains and modules, tool APIs and languages, research, and wallets. Among them, infrastructure and development tool projects account for the majority.
User interface projects include DotPulse, Polkadot Snap, ChainViz v1, etc. Chain and module projects include TREX, LeetCoin, Substrate IPFS Utilities, etc. Tool API and language projects include cross-consensus message SDK, Sol2Ink Phase 2, NFT infrastructure, etc.
In addition, there are some research projects, such as Web3 digital inheritance, hybrid node research, etc. In the wallet sector, Coong Wallet has been selected.
The Web3 Foundation stated that it will continue to seek new quality projects to support in order to further expand the Web3 ecosystem. The foundation welcomes interested teams to apply for funding or contact them according to the relevant instructions.
