From Airdrop Strategies to Hype Economy: The Evolution of Encryption Social Media

In April 2023, a group of friends and I began our journey into the world of encryption social media. At first, we focused on writing content about Airdrop strategies. Each article took 1-2 hours to write but managed to get 100,000 views within just 12 hours. Our daily routine became a simple cycle: wake up, write, publish, eat, sleep, and then repeat.

In December 2023, a new chapter in my encryption social media career began. I adopted a new writing style, put in more thought, used new illustrations, and expanded my network. However, unexpectedly, the content's view count actually declined.

You might ask, has the view count really decreased? Indeed it has. I have started to put in much more effort than before, but the content published can only achieve 20,000 views. Occasionally it can reach 100,000, but overall the situation is still not as good as it used to be.

How is the situation? Due to the popularity of certain narratives, many people have started to post low-quality content. The overall quality of content has significantly declined, and the motivation for the vast majority of people to post has turned into "a certain protocol has allocated a certain proportion of tokens to promoters, so I need to say a few more words."

The more rewards are allocated to promoters, the worse the situation becomes. I feel that the quality of my content has reached an all-time high, and the effort I put in has also increased accordingly, but the views and the number of new followers have plummeted to an all-time low. My entire information stream is filled with certain rankings, and most of the content is worthless.

In the face of this situation, how should we respond? Perhaps during quiet market times, we should strive to provide valuable content, work hard to improve content quality, and pursue uniqueness.
