Japan's trade deficit in 2024 was 5.3326 trillion yen, marking four consecutive years of trade deficits.

Jinshi data, January 23, Japan's Ministry of Finance released data showing that, according to preliminary statistics, Japan's trade deficit in 2024 was 5,332.6 billion yen, marking the fourth consecutive year of trade deficit. The data also shows that Japan's exports in 2024 were 107.913 trillion yen, exceeding 100 trillion yen for the second consecutive year, reaching a new high since comparable data was available in 1979.
