The number of confirmed cases of monkeypox in Argentina in 2024 has increased to 70.

On October 8th, according to Jinshi data, on October 7th local time, the Argentine Ministry of Health reported that there have been a total of 70 confirmed cases of monkeypox in the country in 2024. The report stated that Argentina has been discovering an average of 6 confirmed cases of monkeypox per week, showing a rising trend in monkeypox infections. The Argentine Ministry of Health has prioritized epidemiological surveillance measures to timely detect potential cases, provide early diagnosis, appropriate care, implement isolation, and carry out contact tracing measures.
