Rumors of FTX 2.0 reboot falling flat, lack of interest from investors

Jinse Finance reported that despite rumors of FTX 2.0's potential relaunch, the plan was ultimately scrapped. FTX CEO John J. Ray III had previously indicated in June 2022 that the company had begun soliciting interest from parties interested in relaunching FTX.comexchange and might undergo a rebranding. However, FTX lawyer Andrew Dietderich informed the judge at a hearing in January 2024 that they were unable to find investors willing to invest, leading to the shelving of the relaunch plan.
