The U.S. tariff grace period is about to end, and the New Taiwan Dollar continues to reach a three-year high.

Jin10 data June 26 news, the New Taiwan Dollar rose 2.4 cents against the US Dollar in the early morning of Thursday, continuing to set a new high in over three years, with an intraday increase of 0.8%. Traders said that the US tariff grace period is about to end, and the market is worried about the impending stagflation, causing the international US Dollar to weaken, while the New Taiwan Dollar rises alongside non-US currencies, showing the most vigorous increase among Asian currencies. Traders pointed out that overseas optimism for the New Taiwan Dollar will continue to rise, as the one-month USD/TWD forward exchange has fallen below the key level of 29, and foreign capital is continuously selling US Dollars in the spot market, making it easy for the New Taiwan Dollar to rise but difficult to depreciate.
