The Indian CBI has cracked a transnational Crypto Assets scam, seizing $327,000 in virtual assets.

According to the Gate News bot, India's Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested suspect Rahul Arora in New Delhi. Law enforcement officers seized about $327,000 in cryptocurrency assets and $26,400 in cash during the operation. According to Decrypt, the case is a cyber scam targeting users in the United States and Canada. The suspects committed the scam by posing as government officials and technical support personnel.

During the investigation, law enforcement also seized multiple tools used in the crime, including caller ID spoofing software, social engineering tools, and related audio files. The CBI has established a dedicated system for managing this batch of confiscated virtual digital assets.
